I installed the first one in a gear track for my transducer arm this morning, and it twisted off and broke just below the ball as I hand tightened it down on the track. I thought it was just bad luck and a fluke break. I put a second one on went out on the water, lowered my transducer arm, and the second one snapped in the same place! Granted, the second one could have had a bit too much leverage on it cause the transducer mount was a bit tight, but I wasn't exactly muscling it. Anyone else had this issue? Two broken, same spot, within an hour.

I hang a flounder gigging light setup off of mine and it is really heavy. Never had a problem.

I've never had a screwball break. But do I use a 1 1/2" for my transducer arm.

I have two 1.5" break in the same day. I had the RAM -Tube 2008 attached to the 1.5" Screwball Only a couple of months old. I love the track system a solid aluminum ball would be much better. for lager rod and reals offshore in ruff seas. I love the track system it is great

I have seen this happen before. RAM Mounts have lifetime warranty.
